YSD Excellence Scholarship Programmes

This annual scholarship programme applies to high flying, well-rounded candidates who wish to pursue full-time studies locally and overseas.

CATEGORY: ENRICHMENT

YSD Skill Enrichment Programme
Scholarships will be offered to successful candidates to pursue technical certificate and diploma programmes at Ramsay Sime Darby Healthcare College or Sime Darby Industrial Academy. Scholarships include full tuition fees, living and book allowances.

CATEGORY: UNDERPRIVILEGED

YSD Bursary Programme
The ‘Underprivileged’ scholarship category awards “special needs” or OKU students as well as individuals from low income families who have achieved satisfactory academic performance to pursue higher education at reputable local institutions in Malaysia through the YSD Bursary Programme.

Important Note:

  • Scholarships for postgraduate and undergraduate overseas under the Excellence Category is not available at this time.
  • Scholarships and bursaries for Medicine, Pharmacy and other fields of study not mentioned in the scholarship criteria are not available for this year.
  • Short-listed candidates will be informed via email

Pre-University Scholarship Programme – Leading to Undergraduate studies at top universities in China

 

Scholarship commencement:

September 2014

 
  1. Students who obtained at least 7 A’s (A+ and A only) for trial SPM 2013 Examination.

  1. Students who are interested to pursue foundation studies at Beijing Language and Culture University (BCLU) in China.
  2. Proficiency in Mandarin language is not a pre-requisite to apply.

Pre-University Scholarship Programme – Leading to Undergraduate studies at top universities in UK & US

Scholarship commencement:

July 2014
  1. Students who obtained at least 7 A’s (A+ and A only) for trial SPM 2013 Examination.

  1. Students who are interested to pursue foundation studies locally and undergraduate studies in United Kingdom and United States of America.

  1. Students who have completed STPM (minimum 3A); or Pre-University/  Foundation/ Local Matriculation / Diploma (minimum CGPA of at least 3.50); or 3A’s for A-Level programme.

  1. Students below are eligible to apply for the scholarship:

Completed their foundation/ matriculation/ diploma programme

OR

Currently applying or has received an offer letter from local universities

OR 

Currently in 1st semester (diploma/degree) in local universities recognized by YSD
